Product Overview

NXT Metal Primer is an acrylic rust protection primer specially formulated for a wide range of metal roofing and metal surfaces, both new and weathered - steel, galvanized, zincalume, aluminum, lead, coppper & pre-coated metal sheeting.

It delivers excellent adhesion, good chemical resistance and weatherability to help protect metal from corrosion and extend the life of your roof.

Ideal for both new metal installations and the restoration of weathered or aged metal surfaces. Use beneath NXT water-based top coats for a complete, long -lasting system.

Application Apply one coat at approximately 200 sq. ft. per gallon
Surface Preparation Clean surface thoroughly with high-pressure cleaner over 250 PSI.
Notes
  • Degrease contaminated galvanized sheets before coating.
  • Usage varies with roof age and dryness.
  • Overcoat with NXT Cool Coat or other suitable NXT water-based coating.
